Winslow Gardens – the residential complex with antiallergic plants

When you imagine a residential complex do you associate it with words like “spaciousness”, “tranquility” and “harmony”? And do you think it is possible in Sofia where there is such high traffic to be constructed an eco complex with only antiallergic tall trees which create a feeling for an oasis filled up with freshness?

This is nonetheless possible and the green residential complex is called Winslow Gardens and it is a joint project of the Bulgarian investment company Winslow Developments and RREEF – the section for development and management of investment projects in infrastructure and real estate of Deutsche Asset Management, part of Deutsche Bank.

Six residential buildings, from 4 to 6 floors, will be separated in a closed complex in “Manastirski livadi - east” district on an area of 22 000 sq.m. and 12 000 of this area will be a park. In addition to the green areas, the residents of the condominium will enjoy the close proximity to Vitosha. The complex creates conditions for a new lifestyle providing the citizen with the opportunity to take a rest from the intense rhythm of his daily life among the pleasant environment of his home and park. A swimming-pool, SPA center and a fitness on a total area of 2000 sq.m., playground for basketball and mini football, children’s day nursery, dry cleaning, pharmacy, bakery, restaurant, supermarket, hairdresser’s, walking zone for pets, underground parking at 2 levels are also designed at the territory of the Winslow Gardens complex.

After taking into consideration the tendency for increase of the number of people with allergies on a global scale, the investors have decided for the trees and plants in the complex to be entirely antiallergic. This creates conditions for a healthier lifestyle and supports the idea of ecologically conformable construction – a future stage in the development of the construction business. The density of construction of the buildings in the residential complex will be significantly lower than that permissible by standards in order to provide the residents with additional comfort and calmness.

According to the data of UCB Institute of Allergy during the last 30 years the number of people suffering from allergies around the world intensively increases. Between 25 and 40 percent of the major population in different countries suffer from allergic thinitis and nearly 20 percent suffer from allergic asthma (visit www.theucbinstituteofallergy.ucb.be)
